Society Journal

The Western New York Genealogical Society JOURNAL has been published quarterly for over thirty-five years without interruption. Issued June, September, December and March, each issue contains 48 pages of unpublished records relating to the eight counties of Western New York, book reviews, Bible records, articles for the beginning and advanced genealogist, and notices informing readers of new developments in the field of genealogy.

Material For Publication

We are always interested in articles for the JOURNAL, especially those pertaining to Western New York research and resources. Records copied from little known primary sources are of prime importance. Outlines or articles should be sent to the Editor for consideration. Articles on individual families generally cannot be published as they are of limited interest to our members. Material accepted for publication by another organization should not be submitted. It is not our intent to duplicate material printed elsewhere.

Journal CDs

The Western New York Genealogical Society JOURNAL volumes 1 through 27, June 1974 - March 2001, complete with every-word index capability and including Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0, are available from the Society for $20.00 which includes postage & handling.

We now have a new JOURNAL CD for sale. This CD contains volumes 28 to 32 of the Western New York Genealogical Society Inc. JOURNAL covering June 2001 to March 2006. The new CD has a better search capability than our original CD which contains volumes 1 to 27 of the JOURNAL.

The JOURNAL CDs are available for $20 each which includes postage and handling. Make checks payable to WNYGS. Mail to WNYGS - CD Orders, P.O. Box 338, Hamburg, New York 14075-0338. If ordering only one CD, you must specify which CD you would like to purchase.
